Emulsion for Intumescent Fire Retardant Coating
Using intumescent fire retardant coatings instead of ordinary coatings for building decoration is an important way to reduce fire hazards. As people's environmental awareness gradually increases, emulsion fire retardant coatings are gradually replacing solvent-based fire retardant coatings, accounting for an increasing proportion of fire retardant coatings.

 
Emulsion for Intumescent Fire Retardant CoatingFire Prevention VAE Emulsion Xytu® LH-360 Xytu® LH360 is a vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE) water-based copolymer lotion. The lotion contains no solvent and plasticizer, has very low VOC content, and does not contain alkyl phenol polyoxyethylene ether (APEO).

Usage and Precautions

 

1.Storage
When the dispersion is stored in tanks, proper storage conditions must be maintained. Theproduct has a shelf life of 9 months starting from the date of manufacture if stored in theoriginal, unopened containers at temperatures between 5 and 30'c. Please refer to "Best usebefore date" on the packaging label. Storage beyond the date specified does not mean thatthe product can't be used anymore, but the user should perform a quality check on theproperties necessary for the intended application. Any longer periods for the maximumstorage period that may be described in the Certificate of Analysis which accompanies eachshipment of the product, take preference over this suggestion in which case the time periodstated in the Certificate of Analysis shall be solely authoritative. lron or galvanized-ironequipment and containers are not recommended because the dispersion is slightly acidic.Corrosion may result in discoloration of the dispersion or its blends when further processed.Therefore, the use of containers and equipment made of ceramics, rubberized or enameledmaterials, appropriately finished stainless steel, or plastic (e.g. rigid pvc, polyethylene orpolyester resin)is recommended. As polymer dispersions may tend to superficial filmformation, skins or lumps may form during storage or transportation. Filtration is therefore recommended prior to utilization of the product. 

2.Preservation for Transport, Storage and further Processing
The product is adequately preserved during transportation and storage if kept in the original,unopened containers. However, if it is transferred to storage tanks, the dispersion should beprotected against microbial attack by adding a suitable preservative package. Measuresshould also be taken to ensure cleanliness of the tanks and pipes. in unstirred tanks, a layerof preservative containing water should be sprayed onto the surface of the dispersion toprevent the formation of unwanted skin and possible attack by microorganisms. Thethickness of this water layer should be < 5 mm for low viscosity dispersions and up to 10-20mm for high viscosity products. Proper procedures - periodic tank cleaning and sanitization -must be set up in order to prevent microbial attack. Contact your biociderepresentative/supplier for further plant hygiene recommendations. Measures should betaken to ensure that only clean air enters the tank when the dispersion is removed. finishedproducts manufactured from polymer dispersions usually also require preservation. The typeand scope of preservation will depend on the raw materials used and the anticipated sourcesof contamination. The compatibility with other components and the efficacy of thepreservative should always be tested in the respective formulation. Preservativemanufacturers will be able to advise you about the type and dosage of preservative required.
 
Packaging and Storage

 

  1. 50kg/barrel, the storage period is 6 months from the date of production, if it exceeds the shelf life, it must be verified by test and inspection before use;
  2. Place in a ventilated and dry place for storage, pay attention to moisture-proof treatment, avoid direct sunlight, use it in time after opening, and seal it in time if it is not used up to prevent moisture absorption and deterioration.
