(1) Ratio of powder to river sand
If the amount of cementitious material and fine filler is too low and the amount of river sand is too high, the slurry dispersed by the water reducer cannot fully wrap the river sand, which is easy to cause the sedimentation and bleeding of heavier particles.
(2) Grading of river sand
When the overall grading of river sand is coarse and the particles are heavy, the river sand particles are more likely to sink to the bottom of the mortar due to their own gravity. When the gradation and mud content of river sand vary greatly between batches, it will also cause a large difference in the flow state of the product, which is easy to cause water seepage and sedimentation.
(3) Water reducer
If the water reducer in the self-leveling mortar is not efficient, the cementitious material cannot be effectively dispersed, and workers often add excessive water to improve the fluidity of the slurry during construction. At this time, water seepage and sedimentation are likely to occur.

From the above analysis, it can be seen that when preparing self-leveling mortar, on the one hand, it is necessary to optimize the ratio of fine powder and river sand and strive to control the quality of river sand; on the other hand, water reducers and cellulose ethers with excellent performance should be selected and used. By adding stabilizers and other materials to appropriately improve the suspension of slurry particles, the sedimentation of self-leveling slurry can also be effectively improved. Product characteristics

- Increasing static shear force: When cement mortar is stirred by shear force, it will not settle, but when it is stationary, the gravity is greater than other forces and it will sink naturally. Adding a suspending agent will make the cement mortar have a certain thixotropy. When the external force stops, a colloidal structure with a certain gel strength will be formed to prevent the particles from settling.

Usage and Precautions
